Lavender Dating Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Purple Hat Ventures, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Lavender Dating app (the “App”). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

• Account information: Email address, password (stored securely), and account identifiers.
• Profile information: Display name, age, gender, bio, relationship goals, lifestyle preferences, prompts, and profile photos.
• Verification data: Verification photo(s) and verification status for authenticity checks.
• User content: Messages, message reactions, and photos shared in chats.
• Location information: City-level location you provide and approximate coordinates (rounded for privacy) used for distance-based matching.
• Date planning data: Optional date ideas, time, location name/address, notes, and feedback.
• Safety & trust data: Reports, blocks, moderation outcomes, and related safety signals.
• Device & usage data: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, device identifiers, and in-app activity (swipes, likes, matches, feature usage).
• Payment & subscription data: Subscription status and purchase metadata provided by Apple, RevenueCat, or Stripe. We do not store full payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the App, including matching, discovery, and messaging.
• Show your profile to other users and display relevant content.
• Enable safety features, moderation, and enforcement of our rules.
• Send notifications and emails about matches, messages, and account activity.
• Process subscriptions and premium features.
• Improve performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users.

3. How We Share Information

• With other users: Your profile information (including photos, bio, approximate location, and age) and messages are shared with people you match with.
• Service providers: We use trusted vendors for hosting, storage, notifications, email delivery, ads, payments, and moderation.
• Legal & safety: We may disclose information to comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, or protect users.
• Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred.

4. Advertising

The App may show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to provide and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

5. AI & Automated Processing

We use automated tools to support compatibility scoring and to moderate photos for safety. This can involve sending prompt responses or images to an AI service provider to generate a compatibility score or moderation result.

6. Location

Lavender uses city-level location and approximate coordinates (rounded for privacy) for distance-based matching. We do not share your precise location with other users. You can control location access in your device settings and can edit your location manually in the App.

7. Communications

We send push notifications and emails about matches, messages, and account updates. You can manage notification and email preferences in the App or unsubscribe from marketing emails via the provided link.

8. Your Choices & Rights

• Access and update your profile and settings at any time.
• Control location permissions and notification preferences.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data in Settings.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.
• We do not sell personal information. Some advertising sharing may be considered “sharing” under certain state laws; you can opt out via device privacy settings.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it for legal or safety reasons.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

Lavender is intended for adults only. Users must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to protect your information in accordance with this policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent changes.
